I wrote this song about our marriage. It’s the first song I ever wrote. I used the guitar she bought me before we were married. I sat in the bed on the place where she died as I sang it. I even recorded it on her old phone. None of this was in my mind at the moment of capture, but it’s true.
I’m told that the radio station KXCI in Tucson is going to play it tomorrow, on the Tuesday Night Ramble between 6 and 8. Julie was a big KXCI lover and supporter when we lived there. It feels right that this should be part of how she is remembered, especially at a time when getting together is so hard. She was always my biggest fan.
