Hatred Being Peddled as So-Called “Jokes” on Netflix in a “Comedy” Special


Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel, who marched with Dr Martin Luther King, Jr, once remarked that the Holocaust didn’t start in the camps. It started, he said, in the cabarets where hateful “jokes” about Jews were a staple of the so-called “entertainment” on offer. Once you have dehumanized a small, vulnerable minority with “jokes” it is much easier for the majority to justify attacking and killing them.
